There is a group leaving from Andrag tomorrow at 7:30 riding to Stellenbosch for coffee. Mostly league riders looking to loosen the legs and talk a bit of rubbish along the way if you are interested.

I somehow doubted it would be easy....... (but I could hope) - I am off now to see if SAA got my bike to Dbn in one piece, and then off to bed so I can wake up in the middle of the night to ride my bike !!

Pantani, I am in Durbs for 2 weeks (up from Cpt) and will be joining the Westville guys @ 4:15. (D@mn that is early!!!) Hopefully most of the guys will be riding the vets tour and will take tomorrow's ride easy!! I don't know if you remember me from the Selati (Cape Storm team). Might see you tomorrow.

Ja luckily I ended up uscathed. I am also kind of glad I didn't run my hand down the seat stay to check everything was ok otherwise I would still be picking bits of carbon out of my skin!

I don't agree with Dan's opinion on the tour but do yourself a favour and read his "Graham Smith's Diary". It is the funniest bit of writing I have read in a long time.

The way some pedestrian step out into the road, they can be lucky that we are on bikes and not behind the wheel of a car. All parties need to take as much precaution as possible to prevent accidents like these happening. Best wishes to the runner. Very sad.

Everybody out at that time should have a light, even runners' dogs! (especially if they are not on a leash). Twice I have had a dog, running in front of a group of runners, cross my path while riding in the morning. Not fun when you only see it when it gets into the beam of your front light.

I have tried talking to Malcolm. Met up with him while riding one day in Durban. All I can say is what a nice guy. He even stopped and waited while I fixed a puncture. And waited again when I realised I had dropped my valve adaptor and had to turn around and get it.

But people still fall for it. Did you listen to KFM and Wackhead this morning! Sad and funny at the same time
