HR will always lag behind Power output so therefore I don't think the idea is possible. Also Rocketman great idea if you can make it work, just be carefull about changing the Q factor.

I agree send it in. Polar is one of the companies in this country with really good service. (If you still don't want to do that there are 2 screws that hold the 2 pieces together that need to be undone.) but I didn't tell you.

What I do is pump my tyre hard enough enough to get to a Petrol station and then use one of those presta -> Schreuder adapters and pump it there.

I am under 40 and I was there!!! But yes it was a dissapointing turnout. My thoughts are, if you don't try to do something e.g. going to the meetings, you aren't allowed to complain.

THis is what I heard: Malaya van Ruitenbeek and Robbie were in break. Robbie punctured and then got caught by bunch. MvR was caught shortly afterwards but held on for third. Leading bunch split quite a bit on the final climb. I can only assume from previous post it was the belgium national that won.

Luthando (and Acis) will be very pi$$ed off if one of his teammates took his Epic team mate (TitusTi) out.

Some TdF riders finish 5 minutes back on a stage. Does that mean they are K@K riders??? Cherise and Yolandi still finished in the top half of the GC. Sheesh there must be teams out there with bigger problems than ours. Some girls finished over 10 minutes off the pace. Keep up the good work girls. (and thanks Sercoche1 with out your post there would be a lot of hubbers who didn't even know of the tour in NZ)

Saw Franco Marvulli in CWC this pm so looks to me he should be riding. Worth going to watch just to see him ride.

There is nothing wrong with the watch unit. The lights should flash (initially) even without the watch attached, as long as the cable is plugged into the handlebar mount that has the battery in it.

there is no battery in the chain stay thing. only on the handle bar mount. First guess is to check the cable connection. Otherwise worst case the cable has broken inside the casing. Mine is also giving trouble. First the speed sensor wire disconnected so I soldered it back on. Now the cadence isn't picking up so meaining no power reading. Going to take it to the Polar guys at the expo. Anybody got a Power tap lying around?

"No spares will be sold to dealers without authentic serial no's." Does that mean a local shop cannot carry spares? You have to go in with your wheel, give your serial no. to the lbs, they will then order accordingly from Mavic?? Long time to get spokes????

Rolling road closure is probably only logistically possible for the first group. So why not change the leagues and instead of racing according to age cat we do as the rest of the world does and race according to category eg. A cat, B cat etc. Then if you want road closure you race A cat??? Just and idea???

All the elite riders that have posted here have said they were wrong in crossing the white line. Being disqualified wasn't the problem. It was the way it happened that is causing the angst. Yes it would be nice to have rolling road closure, and the Tde B showed that it might be a possibility. But due to the different nature of the TdB and PPA rides a lot of work will need to be done in order to set it up.

Also had a problem. When I tried to do it online everytime I chose my club the NEXT button kept disappearing. The only way I could get to the next page was to not choose a club. Now they are sending me garbled messages as well.

The problem with riding with somebody without a lid is that if you happen to cause an accident that results in the idiot getting seriously hurt cause they weren't wearing a helmet you are the one that is going to have to live with the guilt???
