After telling them I don't have a full license they still emailed me and said I am in $ Elites!! Emailed them and they said I need to sort it out at registration. That sounds like fun!

It was funny when I had to point out where your car was parked (after you walked right past it), it was hilarious when I had to do the exact same for P.I. The censored bit above was a crash... She is ok, a bit bruised and the handlebars on her bike were knocked out of line, but fixed now.

One of the problems is the cost that a sponsor has to pay the SACF to be an "official" sponsor. In the PPA league where the sponsorship is small, if the sponsor was to go the correct route and apply through the SACF then there would be no money left to give the riders. (Poison can you clarify the costs involved with registering a sponsor with the SACF) So the best bet is to have a Cyclosport license and use all the money for the riders' kit entries etc. but then of course you can't ride WP or SA champs.

Really sad I missed the breakfast ride, but Mango delayed my flight by 2hrs and only got to my folks' place after midnight. I put my bike together friday night still planning on going but when my alarm went at 5am it was never going to happen.

Hey Hagar, I got the bag too!! Ordered on Thursday afternoon, picked it up yesterday! Packed my bike in it this morning. Still trying to figure out what to put in all the pockets. I am heading to Durbs tomorrow (friday) night, arrive 21:20. Hopefully going to get to the Casino by 6am the next morning for the coffee ride.!

It says that it requires signature on delivery, but it looks like you picked it up at the post office? p.s. It is an upsetting article, but how do you know it is a 20k+ bike?? I don't like the possibility of Cash Crusaders aiding crime but it could have been a cheap (1k) bike???

For cadence magnet I use a cateye round wheel magnet. If you take off the plastic bit you are left with the round magnet with a 'screw'?? coming out of it. I then chopped the 'screw' off it and glued it to the spindle of my pedal. Works well for me. ( I have the one for the 720, but should work just as well for the cs600)

Crux - unfortunately neither does resigning. Lets wait and see if CSA are brave enough to stand up for their actions and book a slot in next week's SS (I think we might be waiting a long time though!)

Didn't watch the whole thing last night, was there any mention as to why Robbie H isn't riding?? I can certainly understand Ronel's frustration but surely the easiest way to really pi$$ CSA off would be by her winning the races left this season??

Marius, I spent a good portion of my trip to the UK looking for those gloves - A pair of long fingered ones for me and a pair of short finger ones for my GF. Came back empty handed. (excuse the pun!!) So if they do bring them in to the country I want some!!!!

Has anybody here tried entering the Amashova online? I noticed the page where you put in your credit card details does not seem secure?? The site doesn't begin with https or show a security certificate but when I contacted the organisers and the response I got was: "To date we have 2000 online entries, and have not experienced any problems. Our site is secure, we use Iveri, Nedbank, which is a secure portal. I can email you our banking details if you would prefer to do a direct transfer." Am I being paranoid??

Went to Thursday's 17:30 class at VA Cape Gate and had a very good class, the instructor actually has a road bike too which makes a difference. None of this up down, up down spinning at 250 rpm k@k!! Le Tour2007-07-23 07:20:11
