  3. Hi hubbers, I have a friend who is coming to Cape Town over the weekend and is need of a sports massage on a Saturday. Anyone you can recommend in Cape Town CBD itself who performs massages on Saturdays?
  4. Yes, their website is wrong. If you want incan forward you the entire mail conversation i had wjth them. The price on the site R5,050 (i think) is for the Fenix2. Its been double/triple confirmed.
  5. Shot dude, bly dit het gehelp! Het gesien jy was in bietjie pyn daar . Ekt self a paar rennies gekou daar bo op die bult
  6. Im ordering the Garmin Fenix2. Very good reviews and imo looks better than the Suunto. And getting an awesome deal on the garmin with autostyle vs what its sold for in the shops.
  7. I dont think the xt's can be serviced eg spindle taken out and regrease, at least thats what i was told when the first pair was retired. Went to bikeshop today to get the s-tracks but seems it was rather my one side bb seal that popped. Thus my xt's are good still. BUT, those s-tracks look the part and would be my next choice should then xt's decide to go.
  8. Im on my second pair of xt pedals now, i replaced the first pair beginning of the yr. The second pair is also failing now (weird creaking noises). Other than shimanos, which other pedals would you epic pros/single speed dudes and weekend warriors recommend? Im looking at Look/time pedals but nit sure whether the higher price will result in better quality.... Need to decide tmwr though :-)
  9. Yep was not there last time i checked. Thanks
  10. Can you pls re-upload the mid distance mtb ride profile on the site? It currently shows tge 12km profile for both short and mid distance.
  11. Thanks, will let u know, we planning for this coming weekend, just checking hiw the weather will hold out
  12. Tough but lekka ride guys!! Lets do it again
  13. Nee man, ry heelpad saam, jy kan bloemendaaler doen as ons terug is
  14. Oh and lets get more people, the more the merrier
  15. Im good with the distance but not sure abt the traffic lights where to get u, have missed the group in the past there, what abr durbanville traffic circle, where we used to meet for the night rides?
  16. Any rides Saturday? Vaalkol, whats your starting time now?
  17. +1000000000 I had Hayes before, good brake but finniky when fitting. Tested juicy 5's as well and didnt like them either, have them back after 1 day of riding and then bought SLX's - what wonderful brakes!! Got XT on my new bike and didnt have a single issue in 2years. Cant go wrong with shimanos dude.
  18. Site - http://tri-cycles.co.za/product/accessories/ R700 for the battery, they did tell me the normal (older) 4 cell was available for R280 which i think is a good price but i opted for longer burning time. Service from Michelle was excellent, she actually PMd me re this message. Rating- will let u know, only received battery this morning so still need to test.
  19. My new 6cell battery arrived thanks to magic-shine. Cant wait to go nightriding again!!
  20. Yep, thanks for all the posts, ive decided to go with new 6cell battery, which will be a lot better than my old 4cell and shud give me ample time in the saddle. Shud prob look for 2nd helmet mounted light as well.
  21. This thing is giving our country a bad name. I invited a Danish colleague over to come mountain biking and she forwarded me this link http://ekstrabladet.dk/112/article2302133.ece - our mugging even reached their newspapers!! Now she wants to know whether its safe (a bit jokingly but still).
  22. Im not a tech guy by any means, so you need to give me something i can ask for eg shop / model no ect (where do i find a quality combo?) I also saw this, http://www.magicligh...abatteryinstock where the battery is built into a waterbottle. Maybe a bit overkill but the runtime is great
  23. I have a magicshine (?) 900 lumens light which i imported myself from DX. The quality of the light is sufficient for my needs (these days i see its 1200-2000 lumens) but my real gripe is the battery. After 4 yrs now, the high settings lasts 30 min and low setting lasts 1hr max. Im looking to buy a new light but not sure what to get. Too many options available currently i.e. Magicshine / Extreme lights / ect ect Plus i dont want to break the bank, so roughly below R1,500 is what im willing to spend. What would you guys (And gals) recommend i should get? In the winter im trying to cycle to work and back. A round trip will be approx 3 hrs (1 and 1/2 each way) and ideally would not want to charge the light inbetween. The http://www.extremelights.co.za/shop/extreme-2000-bike-light/ looks like an option..
