  1. Well done Bike Hut, I look forward see a updated website.
  2. Here is a 11-28 Sram 9sp. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=5045 And if that is not good enough go look for an old Ultegra 12-27 9sp. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1094
  3. I am still running and old 7sp 12-28 classette and it work well with a 22/32/42 at the front. I was wondering how feasible it would be to go to a 40/29 x 12-34.
  4. Sorry to here OneTime. My condolences
  5. Its the cold water that is causing all the shrinkage, realy
  6. Quintana Roo, Zoot and T1 also make nice wetsuits. Remember it is a WETsuite, some water does get in but it heats up against your body. The problem area is usually around the neck seal that can chafe. A good lube, like Bodyglide, that does not attack the rubber should help. A nice hood would help with the cold temps. http://www.blueseventy.com/products/detail/skull_cap/ A friend had a Coral made for him for Ironman and he was realy happy with it. He got it through the Running Inn In Pretoria. They did all the mesurments and handeld all the admin. Ox_Wagon2008-05-22 03:31:36
  7. I only now of Orca, BlueSeventy(Ironman) and 2XU that is available in ZA. Coral in the Cape can also make custom tri wetsuites. It is inportant to phisicaly fit the wetsuite. It isn't something you buy mail order. I have a Orca Evo and for the price it is a geat wetsuite. I have the same problem as Windblown I don't seam to fit in it anymore .
  8. The little piece of aluminum that that reinforcing the top tube and seat tube junction.
  9. I see you got the latest frame with the gusset.
  10. The problem is that you will not only have to upgrade your brakes but your wheels to which can make it realy expensive outing.
  11. Works perfectly on my Mongoose. The only reason I am looking at disk is because one is starting to have problem finding frames and forks that can take canti?s/V?s.
  12. What about cantilever brakes? Ox_Wagon2008-05-20 08:20:34
  13. FD are fine but as Lowracer said rear derailers may not work properly with shifters from another company. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Here is a really cool article about the differences. http://www.ctc.org.uk/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabID=3946
  14. Paul, I don;'t think you can call those XC frames
  15. The lockout is nice and handy
  16. Rumored to be similar to Stumpjumper. http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech.php?id=/tech/2008/features/uciworldcup_tech08
  17. I must say it is getting a bit of a problem especially in an open plan environment I work in. It also limits my access at home to times after the kids are in bed. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  18. Mampara is talking about the following: <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> http://www.andoverwheelers.com/Documents/Erics_bike_set_up_instructions.htm http://www.bq.org.au/cycle-info/education/riding_position.shtml Which is a good starting point. Some more tips. http://www.rivbike.com/article/bike_fit/setup_mistakes http://www.brianmac.co.uk/cycling/bikesetup.htm But if you look at Tri athletes you see that they ignore this type of setup completely. And this gets us to what GoLefty is talking about this. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/kops.html I must say that I understand only half of what he is trying to say. In short you need to setup individually for your specific build and the type of riding your want to do. I looked at the info required and got to the conclusion that it would be to difficult to do the setup.
  19. I am thinking of starting to commute to work due to the petrol prices.
  20. I must say I don't like the trend. Does anybody make steel Full susser frames
  21. Mongoose has modified the 2008 frame further. The latest frame has a proper gusset between the seat tube and the toptube. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> On the Meridas. The entry <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Mission (500d?) is a bargain at R10 000. I have however been seeing some broken carbon Merida hardtail frames which is worrying me. The impression that I got that Merida was replacing them under warrant with out any problems. 22. As far as I know Mongoose fixed the frame problem. I have seen one of the new frames at the LBS.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> The Felt got some bad reviews in one of the <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />UKon> bike mags (MBR, Currently on the self). The Carbon Anthem won the Marathon Shoot out against the Epic, Scalpel and GT etc in another UK Mag. The Scalpel would have won if the frame did not break during the test, This problem should have been sorted by now so have a look the Scalpel too. There are rumors that the Epic will be replaced with a totally new design in the near future. (Cyclingnews.com) And no post is complete with a reference to the Santa Cruz Superlight. There is also The Opus (Epic Cycles) and Kona (Fritz Pinaar).
  23. Felt and Cervelo is the two best TT manufactures currently in the country. They both have a long history of making really good TT and triathlon bikes. You should be looking for a manufacturer of good triathlon bikes. Quintana Roo and Kuato is also nice but I have not seen a lot of them around.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Here is a nice site with reviews including the B2. http://www.bikesportmichigan.com/reviews/index.shtml
  24. Here is a good place to start. http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Default.aspx
