  1. Who cares, it is a three ring circus anyway. Sort out doping first and I maybe take professional cycling serious again.
  2. Have a look at the Conti Mountain Kings 2.2 or Conti Racing Kings if you can find them. Maxxis also have to new tires out. The Monorail and Ridgeline.
  3. Oops. Ox_Wagon2008-02-28 00:22:26
  4. Don't know yet.
  5. Me, me , me
  6. Mampara I think the correct english is "Ja nee, You gonna like to wets your jean pant, sweeeeet"
  7. The one with S on of course.
  8. What frame is it?
  9. Don?t train with a sore throat. If it is streptococcus it may affect your hart so take it easy. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streptococcus If you have whole body muscle stiffness it may be a virus and you need to take it easy. Rather go see a doctor before you stuff up your hart.
  10. Ask Greatwhite, it seams he has gone through this exercise before. I think his conclusion was get a frame that takes a fatter seat post. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I replaced my bent MTB's seat post with a cheap Kalloy Uno post with no problems so far. It is a skinny post that fits into a steal frame. I have a Thomson on my road bike and they are amazing. That would be my first choice.
  11. Gives new meaning to say you felt flat in the race.
  12. If Mavic allow all this shady products to enter the market it makes sense to stay as far as possible away from anything that has Mavic on it because there is no guarantee it is the real deal. Mavic needs to get their house in order before I will consider buying anything from them. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  13. After the R4S carnage and the kamikaze way some guys are riding I am wondering about my decision to do more Road races. It is getting way to dangerous and expensive. I starting to wonder if I should simple sell all my road stuff and invest it in a really nice MTB. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  14. I think I will follow Willehond advise and say away from Mavic. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  15. That is easy, it is the CHEAPist to loss 500g body weight.
  16. For all the Maxxis lovers out there, I saw these at the one of the LBS Monorail: Ridgeline
  17. Old news. The thread reached 10-20 pages. Ox_Wagon2008-02-18 04:26:09
  18. As far as I know you have NO spare tire, I stand corrected. Just a repair kit and a electric pump. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> PS: Ranting alert, foam around the mouth, the works. With the amount of problem I have had with my Opel Meriva I would recommend people to stay as far as possible from Opel and GM. Check out the latest Car magazine to see how badly it is rated. 19. That is why it is called MTB!
  20. The spacing differs, as usual just check Sheldon Browns (RIP) website. Campy = 4.12mm to ShimaNO = 3.95mm. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Check the table two third down after the 10sp cassette table (collaborated by the CTC website) http://www.sheldonbrown.com/k7.html BUT it is in the range of slop that most new derailleur can handle. I haven?t personally run it like that but I know of people that do use it like that. I am running oooold Mavic cassette with 9sp Campy. Here is some ?Sick? Campy Shimano mixing info (mixing levers with derailleur) http://www.ctc.org.uk/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabID=3946 http://www.hearingoffice.com/download/hearing/10_Speed_Conversion_screen.pdf
  21. Cyclenut, where you offended by my @$$ comment in classified section? Is so, sorry I will use Big Fat Button in the future. Talking about swearing and people taking "races" so seriously, I don?t understand these guys attacking bunches etc as if they riding for some pro team or other. You would think there was price money up to the 1000th position. The funniest is when they fall back in to the bunch only to ?attack? on the next hill, crazy.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Ox_Wagon2008-02-15 08:45:28
  22. Good idea, got stuck on the Diepsloot road yesterday. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I am seriously starting to consider skipping races who?s numbers collect cost me two hours off work and the frustration of JHB traffic.
  23. Yip, It is between CSA and the club to sort out the info. The problem is that at the end of the day the rider sits with out the peace of paper that is demanded from him. It should be fine if your guys have a interim solution where the info can be checked electronically.
  24. So what bike did you buy?
  25. Still waiting with no hope insight. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Contacted them in the week and my license has got hung up by the club info being missing but this is the same club I got a license through last year. I then contacted the club to be told that the have contacted CSA about the issue with out getting any joy. I was impressed by the speedy response on my email up to the point where I ask what I should do now see that after the 17 Feb License will be required. No response yet. So what now? Should I stop riding races till they sort out the mess? I entered the Macsteel which is after the deadline and I will definitively not buy a temp license due to the fact that CSA is unable to get Licenses out. The organizers can ether allow me to ride or refund me my entry fee.
