Saturday service time....muddy...rain...and a bit of wind to boot...ah we love it really....better than sitting in-doors anytime...roll on tomorrow...

offered an hour to the cycling gods today and it was rain...driving...cold rain...no images to capture the wet winter ride....

ah the technical ability....thats where we home mechanics know our limits...I prefer the trained and the expert...would actually love to a bike mech course...

Saturday....a fun day....the mood gets better when the bike ride turns out better than expected...horrible weather..plenty mud ...not really inviting but wonderful ride out...a new trail of sorts to play on...roll on tomorrow...

the bank holiday here...the extra day riding always makes the mind feel better....should not have those beers last night! 😀...legs doing the work...but its a mud bath around some of the forests...and my bike really needs a service....the brakes ! found some winter sun..always good

This is happening up in the northern hemisphere as well....looking at a new disc road bike as a point of reference...delivery time? Due next summer...A Giant....Tiagra...ok...about £1600 or more...105 forget it sadly....ok you could ride Sora....but it's hard to go back.. But lets go back a few years...the market leader Giant Defy £1000 and 105 spec...bikes specs are being abused and the makes are going for the profit margin while they can get it...its everywhere at present.. popped into a prime bike shop recently....odd sizes in stock... yes....bike prices are on steroids.....its crazy....nil new bike for me for a few years...

the first ride of 2023....it was a good one....a fair bit of mud....actually plenty mud...but its always a good bit of fun...and found a great route extension...

St Stephens day bike ride....or Boxing Day....as an irishman abroad....good bike ride today...it's great to have a few days to have to decent block of riding...and the sun came out...lets not think think too much of the mud... hope all are having a good Christmas...

Cavendish reported to have signed for Astana....reported to be going to the training camp tomorrow...

when you really want to see some sunshine...not nice weather ...very cold rain is here...but a small tumble in the ice didn't dampen the fun factor ...

the first ride in a few weeks....and it was nice to be out...the company of few runners and dog walkers...and the snow is still on the ground....first time for everything....first time on a MTB on snow...oh the fitness....don't ask....its not great...and we are still smiling...

Vino looks interested today..plenty rumours...

the more versatile you are as a rider...it can appear very attractive to a team...I like the approach..

the short route will make the tour accessible and safe for plenty...there will be different vibe on this route I would think ...as the racers have long gone...

😀 make the entry process cheaper please for us over-seas lot...I need my Vit D sorted...

I would love some good sunshine......you notice the winter now...at least the mud seems to have settled a bit but it was a treat to ride today....roll on a few more rides over the weekend.....😀
