The Drongo Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 This is an urgent request to all those who converse in 1's and 0's! I am trying to ATTACH a simple word document to a hotmail email. I type my brief message.Click ATTACHMENTChoose the word / PDF / XPS document (have tried them all including zipped)Download scrolls, then stalls, goes slow and then presents me with an ERROR message (IN RED)the error says "Windows could not upload the file because you may have temporarily lost your internet connection" CLICK OK - as if! I loose keys yes, how can I loose my internet connection - TEMPORARILY - 50 fn TIMES? and still send this post. HELP! before i put my fist through a new 23"

Seriously, its just a 1 page invoice thing, never had this problem before WINDOWS 7 64-bit-take-you-to-the-moon-and-back BS! Just Keep Pedaling Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I have the exact same issue with gmail. I normally get it to work on the 5th try or so. My internet connection is perfect for all other purposes. Possibly quickly register a gmail address and send from there - it takes 3 minutes.
Capricorn Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Drongo: if u often send docs, might be worth your while to look into skydrive/ windows live mesh. It's a cloud-based storage system that does not require email attaching. I'm sure there is a google equivalent, but I dont know of it.Cloud storage does work very well, and does not have the sync issues that hotmail sometimes has. lastly, contention is very high in the PM, so the interwebs slows to a crawl. you might be suffering timeout issues. The document is very small. can u not send it via IM instead?

I have 32 bit scanning software, so my 4GB of memory is happily HALVED, all or what a faster machine I ask. Still 2 months before software upgrade!
