Lets say on average racers weigh approx 8,5kg. If your bike frame is so weak that it cannot take a minor point load like that you should not be riding it..... I would`nt.!

It's won some or other Design Award (of the hundreds of design award competitions out there). I think it's more of a fixie-tres-cool-and-chic-culture thing. Won't damage a bike, but plastic machines probably won't fit
