My lenses is dead. The anti fog layer has come off. Where can I get another set of dark lenses?

In the Pretoria area. Does any one knows who stocks them?

hey dude

Your best bet is to go to an optometrist who sells the addidas sunnies and ask them to order them for your, but this is the expensive route and will take time.

A mate of mine ordered a new pair of lenses directly from Moscon. You could probably get the contact details from your LBS or your optometrist.

If you manage, will you let me know how easy / difficult it was and how much you paid as I am looking for a spare set of lenses

cheers

Yip, got mine from local optometrist. Takes a few days and cost between R500 and R600 I think. They will need your frame to get the model number as the lenses are not all the same size

Scrap the "Moscon" route idea, they will just refer you to an optometrist, well thats what they told me anyway.

I had the same issue and couldnt find any optmetrist really interested in helping either, so I just went to an Addias concept store (it was in Eastgate actually) and they got them for me.

I cant remember the exact price but it was more than 600 bucks, closer to 850 bucks I think, but maybe the lenses differ in price between models?.

Just had a look was R660 to be exact bought in Feb at Mellins Eyes in Somerset Mall. They do Adidas, but you can also go through the concept stores

So howcome the does the layer of film come off after a while? Went riding with the club this weekend and thought the lenses was dirty and when I tried to clean it the film came of. Now the leses is shot. Is there a way that I could get the film off without messing up the lens?

Lenses should go for about R550. Adidas had an issue where some lenses peeled easily. Having said that, the coating on their lenses is not the best and has a lifespan of a year or so if often used / washed (in my experience. I wear and sell them). Never leave them wet or in contact with anything wet as that seems to exacerbate the problem.

I've been through 4 sets of dark lenses in three years, my last set was replaced at the Argus Expo at the Adidas stand at no charge. I now use my evil eyes as my spare because I bought a pair of rudy projects last year. Its been almost a year now since I got them & I have nothing bad to say about them! They are awesome!

I bought mine from specsavers and they repleced them free of charge when the anti fog layer came off. Have had them for four years now and replaced lenses twice due to scratches - awsome glasses.
