In May, there used to be (not sure if it still occurs) a US tribute to the Military in Fort Lauderdale, over a weekend. The jets used to fly in between the buildings like that. It is quite astonishing how buildings can mask the sound of a supersonic jet, until it gets right above you, then BOOM!! Saw the tribute twice. Amazing to see aircraft carriers so close in the bay...
