I went for 25.06km from the petrol station(which is exactly on top of the nek), turned around and went back, which made it almost exactly 50km. My Garmin read an ascent total of 468km. Very few cars and, for me, a good training ride. Recommended.

Breedsnek = dirt road - most people start this ride from the petrol station in Hekpoort.Hekpoort hill = Tar road - from Hekpoort towards Krugersdorp.

I was under the impression that you're talking about the route from the middle of Hekpoort, which is essentially a petrol station and then riding a loop through Breedt's Nek.Is this a different route?
