Carbon_Kooi Posted June 19, 2014 Share I will be building a barn_door tracker in the month of July, will post some images when I am done. Not sure how good it is going to work, but think it will be a good experience.

Wyatt Earp Posted June 21, 2014 Share I was thinking about our discussion earlier in the week about the booster sliders, processing, composition and the rest and it reminded me of this photo of mine. One helluva fight followed this photo recently in a Canon group. One chap claimed it looked like it was not real and overly photoshopped. I obviously took quite an offence to it.I then posted the RAW image and gave exactly the steps of processing used, which was surprisingly very little bits of editing done. But it got me thinking of something else, natural light or flash, strobe lights and any artificial types of lighting.I for one like natural light and always wait for the magic hour. With this particular shot I waited nearly 2 hours till the light was what I deemed as "just right" to try and get a surreal look and hoping that the sensor could capture the magic of that moment. The image in question .  Magic light by OddPix1, on Flickr ChUkKy, nonky and Spoke101
Wyatt Earp Posted June 21, 2014 Share Wyatt, what ND filter do you use? Any recommendations? I like the Marumi ones.I get them from Kameraz in Rosebank, their pricing is great.I want to get myself a Lee Bigstopper for long exposure shots.

Wyatt Earp Posted June 21, 2014 Share Every once in a while I have a happy accident that I like. This is one. Dusk, time of strange shapes floating in and out of view like ghosts. Another good one I missed.
MaXiMuM Posted June 22, 2014 Share So I thought I would try my hand at shooting the Friday jump session... Thanks to Patches et al for entertaining me... I battled at the begining, my norm for shooting fishing pics is, open the f-stop and play with everything else. This failed badly!! but I started coming right, but by then had lost the light, and I was fighting the flash and the time, and it didn't go as planned, however, I learnt plenty, FAST! Here's some of the pics...@sheriff, and anyone else, pre and post production...Just for an idea on what you can do with a little effort in post production.
