Am currently riding geax mezcal 2.1 rear and geax barro mountain 2.1 at front. I fitted these late last year and found them great for summer riding, but now that its getting wet i find the mezcal very slippery over roots and also tends to clog up and bog down in the mud quickly (almost feels like it is sucking onto mud).

I was thinking of changing to geax saguaro 2.2 front and back.

Any thoughts or alternatives i should be considering before making this change? Maybe the new conti x-king? but not sure if this is a suitable winter tyre?

If you're riding lots of singletrack get a Kenda Nevegal as a front tyre for winter time. Cheap and heavy-ish tyre, but nothing grips better when it gets snotty.

+1, Clears mud well and is nice and grippy. Not the lightest but nice and strong.

No, no! It's the best! That way, you don't know what's around the corner...

But, but, I still have my summer tires on :(

Guarantee you someone is going to either ask about "Rolling Resistance" or if you get them in a 29'er......

Gotta love it. Apart from the questionable science behind rolling resistance on a bicycle, I love the fact that these funriders talk about it on a mountain bike.

Should have guessed i would get answers like these!! :)

After all this is the hub.

So kenda nevegal and weirwolf are the only suggestions then. I am kind of keen on the geax saguaro for whatever reason - are these a good all around tyre, as like someone said in reality i only want one set of tyres, regardless of the conditions.
