Looks like I've stirred up a hornet's nest - hub style

The rules HAVE NOT CHANGED for 2011, and the "sorry for you" rule still applies - period!!

I'm looking at seeing how it influences the score should you be allowed to substitute riders - you won't see the results until after the end of the competition. This will then determine if substitutions (for injuries only) makes a difference for 2012

Obviously the riders on the top will object, and the riders losing team members will agree to substitutions.

I'm trying to keep things interesting for as many people as possible, and let's see how it pans out.

How about this for an idea with regards to substitutions for next year.

When you pick your 9 riders you must also pick 2 reserve riders.

Should any of your 9 riders be injured (not when quitting or when chucked out) then your number 1 reserve takes his place and 2 reserve the next, then scores points from the next stage going forward.

Otherwise it will be too easy to pick substitutions that might be wearing Jerseys already.

If a guy gets chucked out for drugs ... tough ... no sub allowed.

If a guy gets chucked for not making the cut-off ... tough ... no sub allowed.

If more than two of your 9 riders are injured ... tough ... no more subs allowed

Absolutely, cannot wait for tomorrow! Man-oh-man. Contador, the Shlecks, Evans. Voekler fighting to stay in yellow. Oh dear! I feel a cold coming on, might have to stay home

My car don't have petrol and pumps are dry.

I was on 44 points yesterday now on 38 :o how did i lose points? ;)

You're on 56, I'll fix it now... still trying to adjust to Office (Mac) not having ability to run, create, edit macros which automatically sorts and adds up everyone's points.

It would be awesome if Voeckler can hang on to yellow today, though that's a very tough ask. I'm sure we'll see some fireworks on Luz-Ardiden which will leave him as one of the casualties. If they leave the attacking for late on the climb he might survive, but if the proverbial sheet ( :P ) starting hit the fan early I fear the worst...

I need some break aways to succeed on the big climb stages to make it through the mountains in a good position.

My predictions for today: Evans to crack on the final climb, Contador to attack early on the final climb, Andy to only consolidate his lead and take yellow.

Very interested to see what the inconspicuous Mr Basso's form looks like!

Please Mr Voeckler, if you don't want to do it for the French people and Bastille day, then do it for Team Squier! :P
