Weight Weenie Posted July 13, 2011 Share so just wondering - aren't you impacting negatively on your training if you use a different drink than racing ? Or is that to do with intensity ie. water for short rides and some carbs for longer rides but for racing you are going 110% so you need some more oomph ? MJ the Expat Posted July 13, 2011 Share During training in winter I use water only. Don't drink anything in the first hour. In fact, I don't use any energy drinks during training - dunno why really. Water works for me. I will refuel afterwards. During a race Epic pro etc. Energade is crap. Next time you buy an energy sup, check the back for the carbs per 100g. A good energy drink wil have 70g/100g. Energade I think has less than 10g/100g.
Pieter1 Posted July 13, 2011 Share I have been using game for the last two weeks purely because I heard it stops you from cramping, I dont know if its true or just a placebo but I havent had a cramp since. It also helps with a hangover...

You should not hang your lungs over the handle bars Tone down the intensity a bit Might work for the cramps as well

BushGoblin Posted July 14, 2011 Share Cytomax works well for me, someone suggested VITARGO ( maybe only use that for pre-workouts)
Mojoman Posted July 14, 2011 Share Has anyone tried that USN Enduro sport? Its a real pig to mix, will never buy that again. Hot water, cold water, it just makes lumps! Money wasted there!
