32GI

32gi is essentially just a bunch of low Gi sugars. There won't be much difference between it and game. I've ridden with it for 2 to 3 years but recently moved to Cadence Nutrition. It's much more than just sugar; transportable carbs, protein, amino acids, potasium, magnesium, etc etc etc.

Haven't looked back.

Has anyone found that the Berry/Raspberry flavour makes them feel more thirsty?

I have had this happen with both Endure and Accelerate.

The Orange is fine but last time I bought Accelerate they had no Orange so was forced to get Raspberry and am not happy with what I have now.

Rasberry is a bad flavor compared to the rest.. Peach & Lime

Thought this myth has been debunked? There is no spike during exercise

Tell this to my body. :whistling:

I used most of the other popular brands on the market, and almost always suffered from the worst headaches that started late in the race when going hard. Since going over to 32Gi, this has not happened again.

And before you want to throw in a lot of other variables, it happened whether I was fit, unfit, hot/ cold weather, etc. I have not changed my hydration routine on the bike at all, so over / under hydration cannot be blamed.

The only thing that was changed, was starting to use 32Gi.

32 Gi Endure TABS question

I have started using these recently (twice) in the last week, both times after taking them it felt like my stomach was a bit bloated while running and after I completed the training session.

The product labeling indicates that they can be taken on their own without water / fluid, is this correct?

Just wondering if they could be why I'm feeling a bit bloated while running and afterwards. Previous experience has taught me that this bloated feeling sometimes ends up in nausea, which obviously I want to avoid.

Lets see if anyone responds with this months 32gi question....

Who has tried the new 32gi gels, what was your impressions wrt to effectiveness and ease of opening?

Seems like they have a new (to me anyway) way of opening....

Bought a pile of them recently but have not tried them out in training yet

So tried the new gels this weekend on a long run, carrying them in a running specific gel pouch on a 28k run

Taste and effect = ok

Practicality = :thumbdown:

I tried both the coffee and vanilla flavors and cannot say that I tasted much difference between the 2, the taste is quite pleasant without being to sweet. Did not feel any immediate noticeable effects for the 45 minutes post taking them, which is probably a good thing.

Below are my reasons (whinges) re the

The new opening method just does not work imo, every time I ended up with vast amounts of gel liquid between my fingers. The place that the gel sachet snaps open is in the middle of the sachet which just invites gel to seep out as soon as its open...onto your hand. Unless you can put the sachet in your mouth and then bend it with your tongue :w00t:

Secondly, the edges of the sachet are to rigid (and potentially a bit sharp), struggled to fit them into my usual "gel" pouch which takes other gels quite easily as they are flexible

Maybe I just need more practice on opening them......keen to hear other feedback and tips...

Agree totally with this and also moved over to cadence after I realised what a bs scam 32GI actually is. Energade does the same as 32GI, alot of marketing hype that seems to fool everyone.

Cytomax is great stuff!

32Gi is good stuff!

Cytomax is more money for value and you get a caffeinated version.

Mix them together and you have a proper solution for long distances.

I had a good look at it in the Shop and decided that it was going to turn into a gooye mess on the road, and placed it back on the shelf.

LOL yes my first thought was that I must be opening them incorrectly.

TBH I don't think you can improve on the opening method that people like powerbar and gu use
