Maybe its just a broken seal? Can't it be fixed with a service?

I also have a rear shock that needs servicing. Can any one tell me what the costs usually are?

I have a Rox shock RT3. Experienced no damping a while ago. Shock was repaired, but after 3 rides I noticed oil on the “shaft”. Does this mean that a seal needs replacing?

since this seems to be the topic for rear shocks service I have recently rquired a AM BIKE WITH A fox DHX 4,O shock.I know it needs a service, its leaking oil and has no rebound, also seems to be leaking air from the boost valve and I suspect for a rebuild as it may need,it will be expensive.considering as an alternative, may be better to switch to a coil shock of a reasonable performance, the shock does seem to have mixed reviews on its relability.Any first hand advice on this would be appreciated, also if I did send it to be serviced,in the durban area who could do it and any rough guide to the cost?

Send it to jeff at greg minnaar racing in PMB - he will sort it out for you. That is actually a great shock and a great frame....

Servicing it will always be cheaper. (+/- R500?) You can even do it yourself.

If you send it to the agents, they will tell you if it's worth servicing or not. A LBS might not tell you that.
