P.A.K. Posted August 25, 2011 Share I also have a rear shock that needs servicing. Can any one tell me what the costs usually are?
SURFER Posted August 29, 2011 Share I have a Rox shock RT3. Experienced no damping a while ago. Shock was repaired, but after 3 rides I noticed oil on the “shaft”. Does this mean that a seal needs replacing?
nickelass Posted August 31, 2011 Share since this seems to be the topic for rear shocks service I have recently rquired a AM BIKE WITH A fox DHX 4,O shock.I know it needs a service, its leaking oil and has no rebound, also seems to be leaking air from the boost valve and I suspect for a rebuild as it may need,it will be expensive.considering as an alternative, may be better to switch to a coil shock of a reasonable performance, the shock does seem to have mixed reviews on its relability.Any first hand advice on this would be appreciated, also if I did send it to be serviced,in the durban area who could do it and any rough guide to the cost? ichnusa Posted August 31, 2011 Share Send it to jeff at greg minnaar racing in PMB - he will sort it out for you. That is actually a great shock and a great frame....

Rydogg Posted September 2, 2011 Share Servicing it will always be cheaper. (+/- R500?) You can even do it yourself. If you send it to the agents, they will tell you if it's worth servicing or not. A LBS might not tell you that.
