Racing flats(racers) best shoe to run in, All athletes should run barefoot style,that means avoid heal strike and concentrate on mid-foot strike, lots of info about this on the net

it's because those red and white ones are Vibrams.

 

Ahhh my bad - bloddy agents from Naspers :P

They obviously stuck the wrong picture to the article, but the three little stripes on the velcro straps caught me...

Just goes to show how often they mislead us.

The Adidas is quite different to the Vibram, the upper resembles a glove as Vibram but the Adidas os more of a trainer, I don't think we will see a legal battle here, unless of course Adidas use Vibram soles and don't use the name on the sole.

OK, I have finished Mr Robillard's pdf (thanks agteros) and I am going to try this barefoot running thingie, will report back in a few months. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Remember, if in doubt... back off!!

I'm not much of a runner currently (never was because of my size), so very few bad habits to break! Starting out with a clean slate, no injuries. Come to think of it, my last serious run was about 20 years ago, dressed in a brown outfit, wearing very heavy shoes and a very large steel-framed camelback...
