I have just bought a Silverback Sido 2 with 2x 11 shimano . My training wheels for on the road has a Shimano 10 speed Cassette. which i used on my Ghost bike . Will i need to put a 11 speed cassette on or can i just use it as is but watch the gear change on the last sprocket .

I know it has surely been asked on here before but i cant find the definitive answer. Will running an 11 spd chain (kmc chain) on a 10 spd sram drivetrain be better, same or worse than running a 10 spd chain? Ive read online that you actually get smoother and quieter shifting, but those results seem to all be from the roadies. Does the same apply to mtb? Anyone have experience doing this?

I want to know if I am able to convert my 29er onto a 27.5 frame?? The frame comes with wheels and suspension, I want to know if I can put on my groupset and brakes sadle and handle bars?

Definitely, the only 2 things that might be different that could cause a slight hiccup would be seatpoat diameter and the bottom bracket standard for your cranks.

There won’t be a problem at all.

Cant say that for sure. You cant just slap any cranks into any frame, for example theres no way you can get a bb30 crank into a non bb30 frame. But with most other cranks the worst case would be needing a compatible bb.

Does the new frame come with one? Do you kmow the bb types of the 2 bikes?

True... My brain is obviously asleep!

What cranks do you have? What frame do you have and what are you getting?

I really want to get into enduro racing, but I am still at varsity which is quite expensive so I am looking for entry level type of stuff,I saw a second hand frame on bikehub, specailized enduro 2015 large for 7500, I also looked up some 27,5 tires and a 27,5 fork, I currently ride a bergamont revox 6.3 with rear xt and front slx, but the frame i want to get does come with a SRAM X1 crank with 34T chainring.

Well if it comes with a crank (thats a decent one too), youre sorted. Does it come with a seatpost? That could be your only last issue. If the new frame takes a narrower seatpost, then you need a new seapost. If it takes the same one thats obv perfect, and if it takes a wider one you just need a shim to make the narrow one fit. The rest of the stuff will go on no problem.

No it doesn't come with a seat post, but will be on the look out if it fits or not.

Thank you all very much for the help

Hey guys Rather than to create a new thread Ill just ask here. I have managed to brake a little bracket at the bottom of my rear Derailleur, see attached picture. Now my question is can i just remove this and tension cable again or does this mean new Derailleur? Thanks in advance.
