@Dangle Any bike just ride your haert out and race all the ouks you can find.

Drop them by attacking at the start of the uphil you will make many friends this way.

enter small attended races and pick the shorter distance. this will give you a good opportunity for a podium position and maybe a sponsorship.

Shout if you need more advice ;)

Yes. It is lekker eezzy to ride away from the primary school kids and moms.

I can also promise you that after two races you will be at the top of your game.

Good results guaranteed together with a A-Batch seeding.

Hi guys

Sum qestiuns.

I want to take up cykling.

Where does I start, roudbike or MTB ?

Should the frym be steal, carbon or aluminum ?

If I go tjoobless do I need juice in my rims ?

How do I get threw thick sand.

What supplements should I take.

Do I need a helmUt.

Disk breaks or rim breaks ?

Thank you in advanced.

My good man,

The answer to you questions would go as follows:

1 - Start at the beginning. Always a good place to start. It leads to very little confusion when you approach the end. As far a rode goes, if you rode it you probably already own it so no problem there. Good bike setup us crucial to alleviating MTB problems later on so keep that in mind. (It is the tendon running along the outside of your knee in case you were wondering)

2 - Be very careful when you steal a frame. If it is aluminium you must ensure that it is treated so as to not increase your ever expanding carbon footprint.

3 - Tubeless is an option but ensure that the juice goes in the tank not in the rim.

4 - It is a lot easier to throw thick sand (Usually referred to as mud) Thin sand can create a lot of dust and obscure your vision resulting in a possible crash.

5 - If you get bitten by the cycling bug, you will have to start supplementing your income in some way. ATM's are a good place to get supplement from alternatively if you have access to your wife's wallet, I would suggest starting there. Remember to take small amounts at first and progressively get bigger. This way it generally goes unnoticed. Use the ATM as a last resort of the wife's wallet plan fails.

6 - German training partners are a good investment. They are disciplined and always on time. Finding one specifically named Helmut shouldn't be your priority. A Klaus would work just as well.

7 - Overuse of disks would result in unnecessary heat build up and this could result in breakage. The same principle applies to rim brakes. I would hold off on excessive breaking as it generally slows you down and the general rule of thumb is that momentum is your friend.

I hope that this insightful input will assist you in the cycling journey that you are about to embark on and remember to have fun at all times!

I was 50 years old when my cycling career started, I was forever riding a bicycle. I/we have two twenty naainer tantrums and one 26er tantrum. The best we ever did was 2nd tandem in a race and qualify for racing tandems in a 94.7. We came last in that category. We both had a bad chikken sandwiches the day before and it was skuyt skuyt die bult yt all day long during race day.

I still have a drip in my righthand and cannot type funny likethe rest.
