Could they not claim an extra 1/2 hour with SA at 8 down, result likely?

Confused

i think they did that already. at one point it was saying 7 overs remaining then when i looked again later it said 11 overs remaining - so i think that was enforced...can someone confirm?

Not on the last day. That's only applicable for other days where a result is possible to save everyone coming back in the morning for three balls.

my bad, i think this is the rule that invoked the final hour - due to all the lost time earlier in the day

Additional Hour: Subject to weather and light, except in the last hour of the match, in the event of play being suspended for any reason other than normal intervals, the playing time on that day shall be extended by the amount of time lost up to a maximum of one hour. In these circumstances, the minimum number of overs to be bowled shall be in accordance with the provisions of this clause i.e. a minimum of 15 overs per hour and the cessation time shall be rescheduled accordingly.

WE are indeed.

Michael clarke said that being #1 was the greatest day of his life, I wonder how he feels now that they're losing it? Just remember that the aussies haven't played a day of test cricket since going from #2 to #1 and back to #2.

I see we have one test against Zim on the 13th of August and then we only play another test series in December against West Indies

Australia have two test series one against Pakistan in Dubai starting October and then they play India at home.

We could be handing back our title before the world cup next year

I wonder if SLanka have ever had a successful review chosen?

Quite amazing that our quicks managed to roll them over on day 4/5 on a flat track, yet their spin attack couldn't do the same on a snakepit. That's the real difference in the teams.
