Well played cricket australia. but the fact remains that they won it without a baggy green walking onto a field. and lost it just as quickly. if pakistan can be a good pakistan this summer, ryan harris' knee eventually dies and/or mitch johnson loses a bit of his mojo then it's goodbye for a long time for them.

And i say a good long time, because our A (effectively B/2nd) sides are playing an unofficial test match somewhere in the middle of the aus desert.

We are moering them, specifically, Rilee Rossouw and Themba Bavuma are moering them.

Got them all out for 239(nice one Marchant!), and then had a whoopsie at 59/4 in the reply.

They've taken it on to 342/4 at a fair wallop.

Unfortunately for him he was a South African.

statsguru is your friend, there have been 7801 opening partnerships.

of course stats only tell a bit of the story, one of his greatest innings was when he batted #11, and a certain left handed morkel replaced him at the top of the order. That's stuff of LEGEND!

So true, the Aussies are an old team and probably at the peak of their powers, which, is still not quite at the level we have performed over the last few years. SA'A' looking very strong! Bodes well for the Proteas
