You get your sigma back? I know you said near the correctional facility but before or after it? did it shoot off the road into the grass? Left or right hand side of the road?

 

I made a detour past there yesterday afternoon to see if I could find it but no luck. Might make a turn past there again (on the bicycle this time), so if you can give me better location, I can have a look again.

Most of these guys above don't race for their "club", but for other teams. But your point taken.

To those guys doing SVs for the first time - well done! It's hard, but you learn to handle the pain to some degree and you train more! If you see me at a race (Brothers Sport, black kit with white stripe on chest and sides I think), ask me about my first SV race... summer... 2010... Cobra... (I can do PG or 18).

Big thanks to the two guys in white/green MPACT jerseys for helping tow me along Fairview road and the R44 when the big bunch we were in spilt up at the Fairview waterspot. Enjoyed riding with you guys, sorry I didn't catch your names.

Nope, I reckon it's long gone - there were quite a few kids wandering around on the side of the road, it's probably a souvenir by now!

 

Don't worry about it, I'd had it long enough, which is probably why it fell off in the first place.

Very true. Interestingly most of them do participate in our club races. We have had Charles, Uwe and Brian pitch at a number of events. In December Brian Ireland lost a win on an 80Km club road race to one of our rising stars. Last year Uwe killed us on the Burgundy crit, but had another unknown City rider hot on his wheel, and Charles is the master of the Malanshoogte climb, which we use for a regular club event. As a funny aside, Uwe missed the start of one of our recent crits due to his DI2 having a flat battery :-)
