Long time ago. But I still have an old R1 note in my fishing bag. It used to be my "emergency money" and it was enough to buy fuel or help to get home. Things have changed. Now I carry a credit card with a huge limit to do the same thing.

Huge limit huh? Hey should we ride Jonkershoek and swing passed 'ol CW for an "emergency purchase"?

Yeah, also got lots of em laying around the bottom of my sock drawer. Also got some old R1.00 notes some R5.00 notes a whole bunch of Drachma's, some Belgian Franc's, I had a bunch of French Franc's but exchanged them for Euro's when I was in Paris last year, some Italian Lira, some Turkish Lira and a whole bunch of old currencies I collected when I visited the countries, I cant remember them all now.

Its nice to keep, just a sort of memento, they have no real major commercial value.

I have an old R1 coin that I wanted to have made into a wrist watch face but never got round to finding someone to do it.

That makes no sense cents.
