Today I was fortunate enough to win a lucky draw prize at the Tour De PPA.

thumbdown.gif The Staminade Endure sponsored/ bought by/at Cycle Lab was open. On getting home I found that

the total 1.5kg mix is hard/solid. Obviously this should not be so as the other products that I have

bought are all in a powder form.

Should I not worry as this is the quality of what is expected of a lucky draw prize?

Should I return it to the PPA office as a thank you, but no thank you prize?

Just interested to hear various view points.

Last year I also won a lucky draw prize at another cycling event. A gift voucher for a weekend away redemiable at an hotel. It's value was rather big. The catch was that I 1st had to pay an amount of x and then also had attend a seminar. I just left it and didnt bother.

Thus my reason for enquiring about lucky draw prizes.

Return it dude! I am sure Cyclelab will not want their name to be tarnished by this. Could have been old stock or a bad tub from suppliers.

re the hotel story..... I think they tried to con you there.....I won two nights at a guest house along polkadraai road at the D'ville high school race - was awesome time away from the heat of Wellington.

I do think I will visit the PPA office's tomorrow, return the prize and see what they have to say.

Give them a call first - at least gives them time to get a replacement and all allow you to have your say. They can then have it there when you can go collect it (or have them take it to the nest race for swapping if getting to their offices is a bit inconvenient)

To just rock up and 'demand' a replacement might just be a bit hectic for them...... just saying.

Its probably some of those tubs they had left after the massive sale they had couple of months ago. Check the expiring date. They actually had gels on sale that was allready expired. Maybe the same with this product

Noticed this, lower price but it's past it's expiry date.

Is this not one of those situations, were a call to the organisers could have solved this easy peasy ?

This sounds like a genuine mistake and not a deliberate attempt at handing out dodgy lucky draws.

Be in the lucky draw

how do we get lucky ? :whistling:

Stay for the lucky draw 3 hours after you finish (in my case) and win....... oh ja, and bum your buddy's tickets that aren't staying. I sat with 9 on Sunday.

Won a lekker prize sponsored by ...... now I forget the name - it's on the race thread. Worth at least 500 bucks. Makes it worth the wait. They even gave away a (crappy) MTB.

Edit: typo
