Young boy killed today on Inanda Road Hillcrest this afternoon.

Very sad thing to see, a crumpled blue bicycle lying nearby.

His school friend sitting stunned on the sidewalk.

Paramedics standing with that look on their faces, and their shoulders slumped. Every day they see how we can take it away, but not give it back.

Could have been my boy that. When I got in now I realised how hard I was holding him when he started to wiggle.

My sympathies to that family.

My respect to those meds! The **** they have to see each day...

We really just need to slow down people. Pay attention. Realise we only get one chance.

Its absolute madness out there - everyday another cyclist killed, second one today.

My heart goes out to the parents - imagine what they are going through.

That's horrible. We learn to appreciate life and our families so much more when seeing/hearing about that. Just feel very sorry for the family that just lost a son. Parents aren't supposed to bury their children, but we live in a cruel world and things like that happen. So I ask all the hubbers If you have kids give them a big hug and kiss when you get home and tell them how much you love them as you never know when its your last.

My deepest condolences to the Family. RIP fellow cycle brother

jeepers thats hectic.wonder when the government is gonna wake up and take notice of these tragedies that are becoming an almost daily occurence (if not already a daily occurence) and do something about it?something that will make motorists more aware of cyclists,as well as more aware of the consequences.

Please don't let your kids ride on public roads, SA has the highest cyclist fatality incident rate in the world. This is very serious and getting worse everyday.

RIP lad, very sad.
