Is this the level that super rugby has got to

for realsies tjaina!

The jerseys will be exclusively worn in most South African derbies. The teams will wear in their usual jerseys for matches against international opposition.

Sad that he has decided to retire but one can understand why. Incredible player and was a joy to watch. And I'm sure we all remember THAT kick at Ellis Park.

please refresh my memory, which kick?

I'll remember him for that currie cup final he bossed as a 20yr old.

it seems that he was never the same after this (which looks terrible in slomo, but in my mind was not deliberate and should be only a yellow)

he still had 10 years in the game, but wow that is early to retire.

Earl rose before he was in the 2nd hand golf club game, craven week 2002

he used to play with a scrum cap with dreadlocks stitched into them.

The 50odd meter one against the AB's mate in 2014. That one. Lambie was never know for long range efforts and that he pulled it off with such confidence was brilliant. My nerves were shot and I remember thinking "Come on Pat" and just roaring in delight as for a period it looked like the AB's was going to thieve another win off of us.

Speaking of the 2010 CC final I also reckon that to be one of his performances ever. The two tries he created in the first half had us sunk and the match won in the first 30 minutes.

As for that tackle by CJ, l honestly think there was no intent to harm and kinda agree that if it had been given yellow it would've been fair enough punishment. That it turned out differently is another discussion on it's own. What I do know is that CJ felt bad enough about it to go and apologise to Lambie in person which says a lot about how Lambie was viewed by his fellow players.

The game is losing to many great players to soon who should have had long illustrious careers. Lambie joins Warburton in that regard I feel.

Lambie is an exceptional rugby player who was a great playmaker at flyhalf at a time when we had a wet dream for a kicker only like morne steyn. Being shifted between flyhalf and full back meant that he was never allowed to settle in one position and own it

Given that that was his circumstances he still produced good performance after good performance. One wonders what he would've achieved had he been given an extended run at fly half. I am sure we would've seen more performances like the CC final that's been referenced earlier.

Again a class player who had to retire too soon.

Shebeen , what’s happening to your Stormers brother? Getting smoked by the Bulls

Getting smoked is putting it mildly. Enjoying the quality of the rugby from the Bulls not enjoying this pathetic display from the Stormers. We are getting smashed!

Might actually make a plan to go to Loftus this year if this is what they will be serving there.

Good off-season signings.

Sadly, for the Stormers, I see a bad season lying ahead. Boardroom shenanigans definitely having a disastrous effect on the players.

I dont like the Stormers or the Bulls. Not a supporter . But..... I dislike the Bulls less than I dislike the Stormers. So I shout for the Bulls when they play against the Stormers. That said.... Bulls were awesome. Calm and brilliant.

BTW: IMO Handre Pollard what a player

If we play like this against Kiwi opposition we will be taking regular 50 point hidings.

Bulls on the other hand might actually win a few games off of Kiwi teams!
