Yeah, I saw it, it was rather close... just like the clown at the bottom of Smits in the green rain jacket who pulled out right into the right lane and sprinted up the first little hill and then died down the left hand side... and he didn't have a race number on so not quite sure if he was racing to donate blood.... Think you missed that one!

I was calling "watch for cars..." often when the white line was crossed, especially Boyes and Smitswinkel and Slangkop where the road narrowed with blind corners.

Our group was well behaved. Well, I was off the front most of the time..... so lets rephrase - from those who rode in front of me from time to time, they were well behaved.

See, you should have upgraded your number to C :P would have had a faster time and no wheel suckers.

Did not notice Jaco-fiets in the bunch today...

How's that possible?

Uncool.

Uncool doesn't even begin to describe that. It's almost as bad as my last argus doing a pb and discovering that my transponder had fallen off on the route somewhere after some fool had knocked into my wheel at the start. thank you for the finish line photo or i would have been very sour indeed.

No photo's this time, email's sent so I'll just have to wait and see.

Had a good one myself. Improved on last years time by 30 minutes. Only lost front of bunch up Ou Kaaps (there was two A group riders in our bunch, forcing the pace).

Very happy, legs are back, can start pushing climbs again. Looks like I'm peaking at the right time. :whistling: :D .

Also met a couple of new Hubbers in the bunch, amongst them Thorbuttox. Can't remember the other hubber names. (sorry Ahmad)

No worries bud. It was a good day at the office. Nice meeting you too. Cant remember if i bettered my time (age thingy we discussed post race) :whistling:

With all the timing shenanigans (both honest and/or not so honest) in the last while, I can't see them doing it on your word... do you have a Garmin download to send them maybe?

I have a polar download file from my CS600

Jungleplaya, I also blame age for the fact that I could not remember your Hub name.

If I looked at the correct name, it seems as if you also bettered last year's time by about 30 minutes. Way to go, bro!

just discovered the mats didn't pick up my transponder at the finish :cursing: after all that sweat

Same here, and I heard no noise when I went over, went back to the guy standing there and he said no I must not worry it picked it up.

At least I crossed over just after MTB_Roadie so he can vouch for me, have contacted them.

I can't seem to raise the Racetec site.

Is it just me or are they down?

That server is up and down like a Woodstock gentoo on payday. The PPA site is also on it. So when Racetec comes down it clotheslines PPA.org.za as well. Ingenious.

Like yooooor! Same in Group I. It seems as if there are guys with a death wish. And it wasnt just the younger crowd, it was more the experienced older guys....(some of which were league riders)....
