:D Been there, done that! And then, without asking for consent first, I started stroking a strangers' bike frame  ;)  :D

The SA economy must be in the poo, 2 C40's and a Master have gone seemingly untouched in the classifieds in the past month!

The economy definitely sucks and then factor in too big, too small, too expensive, too much Shimano

:D  Just add "varsity fees" and it's pretty much my situation too.

Exactly, kid number two just started school so I might need one of you without these wanton burdens to take a steed :)

I finally got everything setup on the Master Piu and took it for a 55km ride around the cradle today with the Mugg and Bean Safe Cycle ride.

What a sublime ride, initially there was a little nervousness going down Broadacres at 60km/h toward the Jukskei but I put this down to a slightly different geometry and the fact that I built it myself and I kept wondering if I had tightened everything enough.

The bike rolls so smoothly and absorbs road vibrations that I didn't even know could be absorbed. It's a little heavier than my 7kg C40 but climbs like it wants to and I still set a PR up Satelite Climb even though I'm far from fit at the moment.

Definitely worthy of restoration!
