I am amused at the attitude some cyclists has with regards licensing. Simple not happy with process then don't race. Not happy with the rules and regulations of a race organizer don't do the race. Why must you benefit all the time' date=' yet you not willing to help your fellow cyclists improve their races for your sake. CSA/PPA/PROVINCES cannot exist without a membership base hence you the cyclist make up that base.

I also cannot see the logic when a person who rides a R35k super duper Banzai Carbon Fibre frmae with Spgahetti groupet and a thingie that measures how much he can ssist Escom in generating power baulks at paying R150-00........ less than what his Friday take away at KFC or Wimpy for the family costs.

By dammit if this is his "pasboek" to enter races he should buy it only for that purpose. Stop all the bitching, moaning and groaning and buy the damn things!!!!!!!!!! Your arguments does not justify your fancy equipment!!!!!!!

OK Smile

After days of scheming and wondering the solution came today. Used the M&B Glas of water option, online nogal through supercycling, and became a club member, applied for cyclosport and csa affiliation.

Couldn't have been easier. Leaves Myrace standing.

but will cyclosport allow pricemoney' date=' even if you start in the seeded groups?

As I see it, YES. You just can not ride provincials or nationals.

Definitely go with the Mugg & Bean option. It looks very attractive and they're catering for people such as yourself. I loved their one page advert - saw it in the last issue of either Ride Mag or Bicycling. Check it out. Explains everything. Richard Beswick is your man.

I tried to register - Entered my e-mail address twice' date=' submit, but then gives me a message about entering my details. Will they send me an e-mail with my password? How long did you wait for it?.

Hi Driewiel,

Did the system tell you how long you are going to wait for your license card? Remember, myrace is a membership management system, and still need to get all supercycling's data into it's (CSA) database, to ensure authenticity of all details, etc.

Talk to the okes at supercycling (?) and make sure they don't expect you to fill in some of the oldschool forms, submit a pic, etc....

My apologies. I am sure there will have to be lots of legwork behind the M&B website to get the relevant details checked and verified, but at least it takes it out of my hands. I have a cyclosport, so the photo is no issue, it was just the need for a club affiliation that caused the problem, sorted with a glass of water.

On Myrace I had endless hassles with a number of things, I realise its being tested, but the photo didn't want to be accepted, the street address kept on failing, finally faked an address, and then the CC payment kicked out several card options, based on date. It also never asked for an existing License number.

Lets see how long I wait for my card vie M&B.

Cheers

When i tried there was no option to select direct affilition with CGC, and i also could not get my photo loaded (although to be fair it was an ugly one) so i did a manual app.

 select direct affilition with CGC....

and CGC has not given me the authority to allow direct affiliation...which I am sorry for....perhaps you can talk to CGC?

(they do also have their own online system for licensing - i havent seen it of recent but know that it exists)

Carinus,

I went the Cyclosport option on myrace.  Identified the club I belong to etc. Paid.  But now my status show "admin hold"

What does it mean and when will it confirm my license?

Regards,

Kinnie
