give credit where credit is due right! with all the moaning about our goodie bags, i really enjoy getting some stuff that's actually useful, the socks, now a t-shirt, hell if i get another bottle, suncream, or other useless titbit somewhere ill scream. well done on listening to all the gripes and trying to be better than the rest! my 2c on a Wednesday morning.

I last did this race two years ago, must have been about 36 or 37 deg that day, scorcher, came back to find a tin of coke had exploded in my car!

Looking forward to a cooler ride this time round!

Everyone (organizers included) was caught off guard by the heat that day.

i remember reading some guys picking up readings of mid 40's on various devices that day!

Saturday, by the looks of things will be warm, but not like that!

See the weather is getting better....still a bit wet on Saturday AM though, the river is going to be fun!

I rode most of the 40km today ph34r.png

Lots of slippery mud. Tires were clogged up, cleats and pedals too.

I apologise in advance to those Im going to hold up when I walk some of the tricky stuff. ph34r.png

Careful in regards to the Jacaranda Classic........ getting to the Trail Seeker

To help planning routes to get to VG or allowing sufficient time to wade thru the bikes starting at just after 6!

You're right, I'm adding a hour to be safe.

Is the 40km the same route as last year?

Thanks for that! I think I will take the Sani out and skip all the tar to VG's from home!

if they start at six then to prevent all the chaos you will have to leave PTA at five at least get there at six maybe and then ? I hope they have lots of coffee , maybe jump in the road race for a warm up do the 70km before the race start and then you well prepared ............should be fun

Whats going to be best from Pta side? Over Saartjie`s neck, trough Schoemansville around the back and in?

Trying to go past Pelindaba is going to be crazy.

vinny, go rustenburg highway...take the pta west off ramp, then the r513(past where voriberg starts.) keep going til t junction, turn right, at sasol turn left. follow that road over the 4 ways stop til you get to VG
