Overlord Posted April 3, 2012 Share Saw the highlites on DSTV last night of the last stage and saw some of the Pro riders riding on the section that is supposed to be a compulsary portage due to the historic signafigance of that section. Surely 1200 MTB shoes with studs on the bottom will do more damage than 1200 rubber tyres pumped with air?? On the other hand, riding down that, is much more likely to end up with more broken bones than the medics could cope with! It is a LOT gnarlier than it looks on TV.
