Hey guys!

I think alot of us, including quite experienced riders, have troube naming specific parts of our bike without describing them. Is there an updated diagram wich newbies can use?

Thanks!

Why do they call it a " Bottom Bracket " ?

The part of the frame around the crank is called the "bottom bracket shell". The Bottom Bracket goes into the shell.

Its a bracket for the crank to go onto or into ... suppose.

Did you want to call it something else?

68 and 73 mm bottom bracket units are for British/ISO threaded frames, and 70 mm units are for Italian threaded frames.

Square Tapered, ISIS, Octalink, GXP, External Cups ... to name a few.

Dont forget Pressfit and BB30
