My best memories from childhood are July holidays. We had a sitting room with an anthracite fireplace and during the July holidays we were allowed to lay out the Lego there for the entire holiday. After the holiday my mom would have to repair the knees of our tracksuit pants because we crawled them through on the carpet around the pile of Lego.

My brother had a 25l drum full of Lego, so we could really go for it (Lego was much cheaper in those days).

My brother and I lived together for a while and when he moved out, one of the first things he took was his drum of Lego. He now throws out the Lego when his friends' kids are there so they can have fun building it.

During long December holidays I still take out my Lego and play with it.

By the way, I am not allowed to go into the Lego shop. I may only look through the window.

Who can remember all the Lego sets they grew up with? According to my mom, I first started with Lego in the mid 80's, and had my last Lego set in the early 90's. I can remember a few of the Lego people I had, but for the love of bikes I can't remember any of the sets.

I got these two sets when I was 30, and I still haven't grown up, so they sorta count...

Have the instructions for them, and the bricks are in the boxes waiting to be brought in from the garage...

Very cool

If I had my way, I would still be playing with Lego. Just not too sure on the price of Lego sets these days.

The sets are expensive, but there are some bargains out there...

This made me giggle. From the Creator Rain Forest set. Those round, flat bricks are actually bird poo...

If you don't believe me, check out the instructions...

I've been threatening to dig out my old Lego sets but the Wife wasn't too keen. Until one when I did it and took out my pride and joy (one of them, I love all Lego) and took it home. This car was hiding behind photoframes and stuff for about a week before the Wife discovered it. Fortunately she saw the merits of not putting it back again, and actually placed it in a prime location. No more hiding.

(She still needs to find Indiana Jones though, he is also hiding in the house somewhere)

Lol.. I have always found it strange that spouses give each other hard times about hobbies. . I kinda see it.. if you are happy, I am happy and visa versa.. just don't spend the bicycle budget on other hobbies[emoji13]
