My daughter has Friends Lego and Barbie Megabloks...  The Megabloks just doesn't feel quite the same or go together as well as the Lego... you can't beat the original!!

She got the Barbie Megabloks first and it was really frustrating at first, trying to build cool stuff out of the pretty limited pieces meant to make salons and pet shops, but then as she got more Friend Lego, the possibilities started to expand and I was able to create this:

But it turned out the Friends Lego scorpion wasn't compatible with the Megabloks Barbie...

Then the arrival of a Lego Juice Bar set, resulted in a Planet 57 inspired hover laser craft:

And then the other day, I managed 3 spacecraft/fighters with what was left after we built the Barbie's a house...

Actually, I don't care what I build, some of the best conversations I've had with my daughter have been while sitting on her bedroom floor building Lego...

I've got that set! I've put it next to my train station...which also contained a bike and bike rack. There are stickers on the train carriages to show where bikes would be accommodated. Also, the bike shop has a coffee shop next door: bikes and beans! Can't beat that!

There's a great worldwide photo project like that!

Link me

Ironically, at the price of Lego, it would be much cheaper to just fix the building properly ;)

But would it be as much fun? :P
