So we used the car shuttle service to get our car from Underberg to Scottburgh while we did the trail. At the end, we get our keys back, load the car and get in to drive away. I ask my wife to reach into the cubby to get my sunnies - Gone! I look in the door pocket for her sunnies- Also Gone!

We reported it immediately, but it is doubtful that anything will come back.

We specifically asked if we could list items that were in the car when we handed it over, and were told it wasn't necessary. Now we have no proof.

Ya, they are tracking it down. I am pretty sure it was a small woman, based on drivers seat position.

The funny thing is that there was a R100 note in the envelope with our keys when we collect them. We did know what it was about at the time, but it makes sense now.

I have absolutely zero proof that it was the driver, but we have lost a Blackberry cellphone as well as a make up bag (apparently worth more than the phone! lol) which unfortunately we have little other possible way it could have gone missing.

Then again I shouldn't have left it in the car. Start line was pretty hectic, so could have misplaced it too. That's why I feel I can't officially blame anyone. :(

They keep very good record of who drove which vehicle . BUT we still lock everything that we value away . Don't know if they towed my vehicle to Scottsburg but I still had a LOT of fuel left when I collected it !!!

Wow this is a first, normall these guys are awesome. Best I check for my sunglasses which were in the cubby. Everything else looked 100% They take a lot of pride in looking after your car as it is a huge fund raiser for them so i would be very supprised if it was the person driving it.

Yeah I think they drive like 10km/hr as I hardly noticed a fuel drop

sorry to hear about the theft.

The drivers are not allowed to exceed 100kmph.

you would be amazed how little fuel a mondern car uses when it is driven under 100kmph.

pity. sad if this service was stopped because of petty theft.

I thought it quite interesting that the combination lock on my bags in the boot had been fiddled with, the push buttons were not as i had left them.

Guys, all these nees to be reported so that the school can sort the issues out. The shuttles and driving of cars is a big fundraiser for them. They can't have it jeopardised by people with long fingers.

I have had the same thing happen to me at Sani2c, also using the Shuttle Service. I had left in my locked cubby hole in my car a brand new I phone (still in the box), gps and other items - but I locked the cubby hole. I had also heard the security was really good and that they use the school Moms so i wasn't worried at all. The funny thing is that there is no evidence that my cubby hole has been broken into - it has been unlocked and locked again! I would have felt as if I was going mad but I had friends in the car with me who witnessed me putting the items in the cubby hole and locking it. It is so sad that this happens and I really cannot imagine it is the sweet old lady who drove my car! But, something more has to be done about the security. I drive a Toyota Prado and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar incident as I feel they either had a master key or access to my keys! Someone has cottoned on that the cyclists are leaving valuables in their cars! So sad that this happens.
