Guest Omega Man

Ordered two more sets of carbon rims on Tuesday. Tubeless-ready, 30mm outer width, 32h, 3k weave, glossy, 390g +/- 10g, $165. (Link)

They'll be just like the ones on my Tallboy, just 3k instead of 12k:

The new rims will replace the Crests on our two Storms. Hopefully they'll be just as nice as the first set! I plan on doing a review on these rims once we've had some saddle-time with all three sets.

But for now, we wait. http://1.1.1.5/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/sad.png These rims are proving so popular that the lead time is now a whopping 15 days. Add shipping and customs delays and, well, they probably won't get to me before the new year...

Damn you. Just when I thought my bike was finished.

$2400 for a set of Enves? blink.png

I'll rather opt for the Chinese cheapy upgrade option at roughly R3500 per set...

And that's the cheap option - upgrade hubs, select a different colour ENVE decal and the price changes...

No argument here wub.png They're also the best carbon wheels out there IMHO. I can buy almost ten sets of chinese carbon rims for the price of one Enve wheelset. laugh.png

Hey Guys,

i just purchased a Gamin Edge 500clap.gif

Now to wait 5-7 working days for it to be deliveredthumbdown.gif

Anyway, was wondering who in CT has one and usually does early morning rides on Sat and Sun mornings and finds themselves in Camps Bay at Vida so that when i have it, u can show me all the tricks it comes with, instead of me sitting having to read through a whole lotta boring info which i kinda don't understand!!!whistling.gif

Anyway, your thoughts, was it a wise purchase??

Good purchase, great product. Read the manual - you'll learn some tricks that the oke at Vida doesn't know.

Then, get onto Strava and load your rides.

Great purchase.

No self respecting man uses the manual!

(failing that, swing past CWC and find Tankman)
