Refers to teeth on the smallest and biggest cogs.

Depends on what you want.

Those are the number of teeth in the cluster. The first number is the smallest gear teeth number and the second is the largest. The more teeth the easier the gear will be to pedal.

What is the deal with booties?

It is the amount of teeth on each blade of the cassette. 11 is the smallest one, no problem there. 32 or 34 is the biggest one. The bigger the blade the easier the gear. So if you think you need that tiny little extra on the big climb then go for the 34.

Smallest sprocket (11 teeth) to the biggest sprocket (32/34 teeth) Choose the 34 tooth unit if you plan on doing some serious climbing and your legs aren't up to it (You will be able to spin a lot easier/faster going uphill). You will be making a sacrifice in one of the other ratios though...

Lycra boots to go over shoes for posers. Also used for diving in cold water to keep your feet warm...

The jump from 32 to 34 doesn't make a huge difference, your legs still end up doing most of the work. That being said, I have an 11-34 on my MTB..... 11-34 would look kinda strange on a road bike.... I like the idea though :D

Excellent!

Thanks folks!

You don't even have to count the teeth. The number is usually stamped on the side of the sprocket!

Whats the difference between the various pivot points/shock attachment points (a,b,c) on a dual suspension? Seems to be three types?
