-Gazza- Posted June 29, 2012 Share So entries for the sani2c 2013 open on Monday, who knows when the events are scheduled for and the new cost?
word Posted June 29, 2012 Share That SUCKS! If you rode this year, you have the first option to ride next year. If you did not get in this year, only open spots go to those on waiting list and after that is full then to public so if you are like me then NO CHANCE!!! Agree, also depressed after reading that press release, seems virtually impossible to do this race in 2013 unless you're already on the waiting list. Guess I'll need to adjust my "to-do" list for 2013

-Gazza- Posted June 29, 2012 Share Last year was my first sani2c, we got an entry 6 weeks prior to the event. Look out for entries for sale and Google is your friend. We found our entry on gumtree.
Ratty Posted June 30, 2012 Share Train for the race, plan your leave and then pick up an entry off the hub in the month leading up to Sani. There were loads of entries for sale this year. They say we have the whole month to entry and pay, but then they also say they are cutting numbers from last year. I think there will be a huge rush on Monday to make sure of an entry. My poor bank account, I thought we would only have to pay for Sani in August. Perfect information leads to perfect market function. But information is also a source of competitive advantage. Sssshhhhh .....
Nettie R Posted June 30, 2012 Share They say we have the whole month to entry and pay, but then they also say they are cutting numbers from last year. Not acc to the post somewhere on the forum yesterday: 650 spaces up for grabs on each event, which means each and every team that rode this year, is guaranteed an entry.(unless the partners split up)
flymango Posted June 30, 2012 Share From the website ... "If a team decides to split, they will lose their slot and the remaining member will be placed on the waiting list,” said Haw. “Should there still be entries available on August 1, they will be offered to those on the waiting list. Thereafter entries will open to the public.” He said they would be strictly applying the cut-off of 650 teams for each of the three events (Race, Adventure and Trail), which means not everyone who rode this year is guaranteed an entry." ... So 100 teams per event from this year will miss out for next year based on first-come-first-served as each event this year had 750 teams.

Not sure about the other 2. Think they were also over subscribed.
HugoD Posted November 22, 2012 Share Hi, We got an entry for Sani2C 2013. Is it recommended to take out a service package? We got a quote for R1500 per bike for two washes and services after day 1 & 2.

Maldino Posted November 22, 2012 Share I'm on the waiting list and call Judy every 2nd week (think she's already annoyed with me) but yup I'm hard up to get in for Sani.
