Nice one!

Might I suggest a strip of old carpet, or rubber, foam, something, glued to the wall to reduce scuffing on barsand seats...just a thought

Cheers

Actually, it hardly does any damage at all to either seat or hoods (or the wall, for that matter). I've been using this method for many years.

it took me 20 year of riding to figure out a quick, cheap, convenient way of storing bikes - after I read this thread I tried it too. it is amazing, you can set gears etc while bikes are on the wall:

This is a great way to store your bikes.

Please forgive me if it sounds like I want to critisise, but how about getting the widest Sondor Tape you can find, and stick it to the wall where the handlebar/brake clamps/bar ends touches the wall. This way the wall cannot scratch anything on your bike.

More info on Sondor tape: http://www.sondor.co.za/pg.php?pid=4

seeing some of the "solutions" got some ideas going and here is the big but... isnt it bad for the suspension to be hanging upside down - know of a few people who had to replace seals beacause their bikes were upside down etc..

Actually it is good for the seals as it keeps them lubed ... if the seals are shot, they are shot and then one might well see the goop inside the fork leaking out.

Here's my setup at home. We've got a duplex with not allot of space. The "cube" where the staircase comes up can't really be used for anything, so we did this. I can fit about 6 bikes into a 1.2m x 1.5m space. Only 4 bikes in the photos, but space for 2 more. Some wheels we store in here as well, others in another cupboard.

Understand you've got to work with what you've got, but that's hardly ideal! must take about 20minutes to go ride that fuji at the back! I'd lose interest in that time.

This is a leka setup MaxUmis!

Nice work Max ... I always find though the challenge is keeping the room looking so neat and clean

Thanks guys.

The bike room should look like that until next time I service a bike :D
