But this 1980's type late charge in the final 100metres is old. She needs proper coaching so she is not left behind over 700m and then needs to claw her way back in the final straight.

The biggest mistake was not kicking too late in my opinion. She knows (or should) exactly how that Russian does her races. She is in the back half of the pack till 150m to go and then she kicks. I mean, it is the 2nd time i have ever seen the Russian run and all the commentators hammered on this point. Surely she should have stuck with her and never let her pull the gap. Hopefully it is lack of experience

I watched the replay of the race as I had recorded it.I think she marked the two Russians, she tried to play it tactically by not letting them chase her, but rather Caster chasing them.I do however feel she miscalculated it a bit, when the first Russian girl went, Caster should have followed, to me it looked like she cruised, I reckon she could have had the Gold.I also can't help but thinking it's also maybe her way of giving ASA a big fat toffee. I am just gatvol of the Sa public who have so much to say about our athletes that have worked so hard to get there. First Oscar doesn't belong there, Cameron cheated, Caster didn't run her best and now today Burry didn't hang back or he had a *** start. Do people honestly believe that these people go to Olympics to do poorly?
