Iron Posted July 25, 2012 Share Fantasic peace of kit . Had mine since Dec 11. Done the new software upgrade recently and love it . I use strava to down load mine too . justt to add, i have used Polar for years and Suunto and this Edge 500 is to me the way to go. Twist my rubber arm Richard it's probably just a personal thing.The main difference is that you can load maps on the 800.But the main reason I love the 800 is because it can display 10 different (500 displays 8) pieces of info on 1 screen and that it has a touch screen ( I used to battle a bit with the buttons on the 500).With the new software you can also setup 5 different bikes, not sure how many can be setup on the 500.
