Any one else see that the Racing Jacket name has been revived in the new version of Jawbone? Apparently there were issues with the name Jawbone being owned by someone else...

A mate of mine has a set of these "Fakeleys". During our last ride we stopped to compare (I was given a "real" set from a Oakley sponsored friend). EVERYTHING looks the same, as in everything. The only difference we saw was a TINY little "O" on the inside of the frame which is right below both eyes. In other words, unless you take a set off someone's face and spend 5 minutes with it looking for microscopic differences - they are the same. Whether there is a difference in lense quality (which I kinda doubt)...

Abercrombie, obviously. But are you really going to compare to plastic products and call the one superior to the other. Like I said, at least visually they are the same. Do you think Oakleys are made by hand in Italy? They are probably made down the street from this factory in Guandong, China.

Also notice that. Of another brand I had the knock off from a mate, they were cheap and at the time convenient.

Visually I didn't notice anything different either, even on the optical side with the lens, after a few weeks though I started getting headaches on my rides. Stopped when I chucked the shades.

Nothing to say for sure it was the glasses, but with something optical I reckon extra care should be taken, as even looking through the lens might be no different there can be subtle differences. Even in chemical makeup for uv protection etc.

Ironically I did my apprenticeship in optics, so really should know better.

Scottondale - I think you're referring to the Fast Jacket...? Which used to be much like the Jawbones, but without that fugly bottom section. (Sort-of like Jawbones meet Jacket-range.)
