Cannondale has a far larger degree of flex in the rear triangle of their flash carbon 29er compared to it rival s-works which is pretty stiff. There is a reason that many pro riders use the s-works in short cross country races. You can read the reveiews of the two bikes on bikeradar: the cannondale is plush while the s-works will rattle you but never let you down in a climb if you are fit of course.

Plus, I am excited about the new lefty coming out soon. Apparently its new design scraps almost a 100g.

I've also seen a lot of riders use the scott scale 29er for long marathon races.

Cant see the size, but reduced to 80mm travel?

Wicked frame

 

80mm on the Small, the rest are 90mm. This is a Medium.

Awesome frame, a quick search shows a cost of 2,700$, bliksem that's pricey.

 

Yip ,CRC has them at R22 000 . but hell thye nice , you also get one for about R 15 000 at crc, does not have the twist in the frame .
