Doezel Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Well, he limits his range with the 11-36 and then increases it again with the 3x in front. To get a smoother range? But imho 3x range is a lot of shifting and mostly not needed on a 29er. (Still I prefer 1x11)

Kinda my point though - up to personal preferences. 3x gives him a very wide gear ratio option. I assume thats what he's after. That, or he got the 3x10 setup on a great deal . Stephan777 1
