Tar on a MTB, I'm confused :wacko:. Just kidding ;)

 

I was just gonna raise the same question. And I'm not kidding.

I normally use Handy Andy.

 

Crickey mate? You don't like your frame too much do you? Guess you also use sunlight soap when washing your car?

Bunch of mothers, use margarine or cooking oil, it works. Stay away from solvents. If you really want to spend money, go to the parts store and ask for tar remover. Use it, lose it. It's up to you...

Bob, what's wrong with Handy Andy? It's Ammonia based, ain't it? Don't see how that is gonna cause problems with the paint on the frame.

Not a good idea.High abrasive content and will wear the coating or paint a bit thin.
