Natural ability is a beeatch! My mate packs on between 12-15kgs more than me, we both do similar training and he whoops my ass....always.

I hate you mother nature.

I have the same problem. :cursing:

Since commuting to work every day I have gone from 80kg's to 85kg's.

I am 2m 02cm. Thin as a stalk.

So looking at weight is silly. Go for a ride and see who wins.

if he beats you in a race then challenge him to the next one.... How many beers can you drink after the race  you will both soon forget about who won and it won't matter anymore.... Just enjoy the ride (and drinks)

I hope not. I am 87 kg and most other cyclist in front bunch range between 60-75 kg I would say.

My wife complains that I am to thin though.

Tactics can of course play a big role.

I know the feeling. Most of my riding friends are tall and some quite big. Whenever we were pulling the bunch we'd be refered to as 'The Bus'. :D

Depends on the terrain.

And, its a popular opinion, who is on 29 inches rolls faster.

You don't even mountain bike yet you are flogging that horse to death ,lekker laf.

Magnus Backstedt was 90kg plus when he won Roubaix.

There are circumstances where weight is a benefit, but they are few and far between.

Genetics will win every time.

It depends on who prayed before the race...

Does it matter who, or what, you pray to?
