'Berto says that Martin is the man to beat, in cyclingnews.

The way Martin pulled his team in the TTT - the man is in great form.

Funny the post on page one does not even mention Berto..

Surely with 3 classified climbs he has to be in for a chance? Although they are not long enough for him to really make a difference.

If Wiggo and Froom was here we would have been in for a BIG show.

Yeah, I think the course might be too climbing for a rouleur like Martin.

Kessiakoff is also good.

Then there's TdF young rider winner, van Garderen too.

Gonna be good.

'Berto has a Grand Tour in his legs - only 10 days ago.

His time today reflects that, for sure.

Ja ja...it was nice to see him being "lapped", they should have made him pull off the course LOL

:-)

He managed a top 10.

Phinney was heartbroken. Came so close.

What a race! Brave ride by Phinney. I knew he could TT but I didn't know he was this good. Martin was awesome! He showed what it means to give absolutely everything!

Would've liked to see Wiggins there. Would've made for some spectacular racing. Froomey would've probably suffered the same fate as Contador with all the racing in his legs.

Little disappointed by Tejay. Not a bad ride by any means, but would've expected to see him up there with Phinney.

I felt sad for Phinney. He rode like a legend.

I watched the last 20 or so minutes with my son and laughed when Martin crossed the line and raised a two-fingered salute. "Dad, why did he make that rude sign?" I had to explain that it was his second title on the trot! Hahahaha! Deserved winner. Makes up a bit for the silver at the Games.

Saw one bit when Contador gestured at a bike in front of him after Martin went by, but missed why. Anyone know?

There was a 3 sec gap between 1 and 2 in the TTT.

Sn American-based team also came close then.

Great racing!

Yeah, Froome Dog was originally scheduled to be at the ITT.

He checked out to focus on Sunday's race.

He seemed to be upset that Martin was to close to the motorbike, not sure if he was gesturing at the motorbike or Martin tho. It was a gentle right curve and Martin overtook the bike on the left i.e. went the long way around as the motorbike was hogging the inside line. Think it was the motorbike that was supposed to be tracking Contodor hence it was infront and waiting for Contodor.

I guess AC was just a bit wound up and letting off steam after being lapped....

hehe
