Seriously... I have no idea why on earth you would want to strip down a decent bike only to leave one gear...

 

If you want to ride in one gear... then just dont change gears! Seriously!...

 

If you have no self control... then it must be that you struggle with weight...

 

I really dont get it!

Yes I'm a weight weenie. Cuz I had a 9.5 kg carbon spez that I never rode it cause I rode my 13kg steel GT singlespeed that is so much lighter.

I ride everyday singlespeed... 27th gear... all the time... :clap: :clap:

 

You only have 27 gears?

 

I have 4 speeds: sit, stand, walk and aero........

I have zero experience with an SS but can only say one thing about anyone trekking 40km's on one of them: RESPECT :thumbup:

I have never cycled on SS, think I am a bit sh@t scared to try one. All I know is they normally make my name gat when I am walking up a hill with all my gears to choose from and here comes a guy flying up the hill on his SS. Last year at Karoo 2 coast I saw a few of them. Just imagine doing that whole race with 1 gear.
